Happy Tuesday everyone. We hope you had a fabulous holiday weekend. We are excited to share a wedding that we did at the Wauwinet is being featured on Ceci Style this week. Melissa was such a fun bride to work with, and she’s about to launch a new business venture. We can’t wait to share it with you. For now, enjoy the amazing stationery that Ceci created for the wedding nuptials. They are dreamy and definitely inspirational!
Today I’m sharing some of my favorite bouquets. To be honest, it’s hard to pick just a few. I know the meaning behind a choice made by every one of our clients. It could be adding in a bloom that the bride’s mom or grandma carried. It could be a father’s favorite flower and the bride wants to hold him a little closer since he’s not here to walk her down the aisle. Some brides have just always dreamed of carrying a certain type of flower. What I love most is that each bouquet is unique to the client so we get to design something different every time.
Then there’e the bouquets that I do just for fun. My selection of blooms whether it’s for a photo shoot, a specific request from a magazine, leftovers in the cooler, and those occasional brides who say ‘just do what you do’ within my color scheme and surprise me. Letting the creativity of the process drive the bus usually ends up with some fun results.
Be sure to check out the designs from some of our favorite Chapel Designer friends. They are quite the talented bunch!
Happy Wednesday everyone (how did it get to be Wednesday already!?). Last spring we got a group of some of our favorite vendors together to do an Inspiration shoot at the new Nantucket Hotel for WellWed magazine. The hotel was under construction and they were kind enough to clear out an 8ft space on a stage for us to work in. As Jodi was delivering the cake the crew was literally building stairs for her to get in. We had a fun time working with Placesetters to create a table full of textures and Sweet Magnolia Designs created stationery wrapped in burlap to echo the feel of the tables. Zofia and Mark did a great job shooting around a busy room to make it look picture perfect. A big thanks to the Nantucket Hotel and it’s staff for getting us in there! Happy Monday everyone. We’re starting off our week with a lovely, intimate wedding featured on Style Me Pretty. Rashelle and Ben were married on a beautiful August day in Sconset. Much of the planning was done via email and phone chats since Rashelle lives in San Francisco. Wanting a serene palette of whites and the romantic look of roses Rashelle wanted to make sure she created a timeless look. A white rose bouquet perfectly complimented her lace dress (don’t you love the little cap sleeves?) and fluffy hydrangeas dressed the altar. After a walk through town for photos they greeted their guests at the Chanticleer with cocktails in the garden followed by dinner inside. You can head on over to Style Me Pretty for even more photos from this picture perfect day.

Happy Monday everyone! We are excited to start the week off with our beautiful couple Ryan and Stephen featured on Style Me Pretty. They were married on a spectacular October day at the Galley Beach in Nantucket. I knew from the moment I met these two we were going to have a lot of fun with the details of their special day.
The ceremony took place out on the beach with a spectacular blue sky. I have to say one of my favorite details of this wedding is the special attention Ryan took to the jewelry. She and her mom had the most amazing cuffs. They were stunning! Her mom also helped out with the escort table. She collected heart shaped rocks and we were able to incorporate them for the escort cards as well as the tablescapes. They were a perfect and meaningful touch.
Our color palette was white, silver, blush pink with touches of blue. We mixed sleek glass and silver with rustic nautical ropes (a request from our groom). It was a nice balance of modern chic meets beach. You can see so many more details over on Style Me Pretty today.
Congratulations again Ryan and Stephen. Thank you for letting us be a part of your special day.

It’s no secret we love all things pink here at Soiree Floral! Pink gets us in spirit of Valentine’s Day and this wedding showcased our favorite color. We had the pleasure of working on one of the sweetest weddings full of details with one of the sweetest couples we’ve ever met! Ashley and David were married this past August on a gorgeous day. Theirs was a destination wedding with their nearest and dearest. It was important to Ashley that her guests felt welcomed and pampered. It’s safe to say no stone was left unturned with this one. They had a clambake and bon fire out at the Wauwinet the night before their wedding.
For the big day Ashley wanted to have an eclectic feel. We used creamy whites and muted pinks along with some silvery greens in mismatched vessels to create a lush, romantic table for guests to dine at. A mobile of flowers hung over one of the cutest cakes I’ve seen in a long time. The cake was ombre colored on the inside with old fashioned frosting for a homey feel on the outside of it. Special holiday ornaments were the take away favors snuggled in burlap bags and set at each person’s place setting along with gilded frames. Ashley was beaming the entire weekend and we were honored to be a part of their special day.
Happy Valentine’s everyone!

Happy Friday everyone! As 2013 couples start planning for your big day be sure to pick up the latest issue of The Knot Boston. It’s chock full of ideas and details, not to mention they are featuring our handsome couple Rick and Katie! A beautiful color palette, a spectacular setting, and lots of sweet details that made their day uniquely their own. Enjoy!
We’re back today to wrap up our year in review. One of the greatest things about what we do is that every client has their own unique taste. Some clients like soft and sweet, and some clients like modern and sleek. Here’s our round up of some of our favorite tablescapes and centerpieces. A big thank you to all of our clients for making this one of our best years yet! We’re exited for our 2013 clients and look forward to helping you make special memories.
We are continuing our list of favorite things over the last year. As we sift through all the images there is one thing we see in every wedding we’ve done. It doesn’t matter who the couple is, doesn’t matter the venue or photographer. It doesn’t matter if the couple is married in a church or outside encircled by family and friends. Every single couple gets that excited look and that smile they just can’t hide when they hear the words they are married. It’s so fun to see the genuine excitement and emotions and I have to say photographers did an amazing job this year capturing the moment. We still don’t have images from every wedding so don’t fret that we aren’t including you. We are just waiting on Santa’s little elves to deliver the goods. Have fun looking through the images – I know our hearts are filled with joy on this stormy day and this was just ticket to make us feel warm and cozy. Happy holidays!
It’s that time of year where we take a look back on one amazing 2012. We truly had the cream of the crop when it comes to the couples and families we had the pleasure of working with. So we thought we’d start our countdown by celebrating our couples (and their handsome wedding parties). We are still in the process of gathering images from photographers (it’s their busy time of year too with the last minute holiday crush) – so if you don’t see your big day being featured, it’s not because we forgot about you! We just don’t have the images yet. Enjoy all these beautiful smiles and amazing colors.
Our fabulous couple Sarah and Jordan are being featured on Style Me Pretty today. We Met Sarah last summer and knew we were going to have a good time planning the details for her big day. Sarah is a professional violinist, and her violin is is not what you would picture it to be. It’s bright pink, and it has a modern shape. That became our focal point for the wedding. With shades of white, blush and pink anchored in navy, she had just the right balance of sophistication with a hint of nautical preppy.
We started out with a rainy, foggy day and by the time Sarah walked down the aisle the sun came out and she had a picture perfect sunset. Her bouquet was one of our favorites this season (I think we say that every week!). A mix of callas, anemones, garden roses and ranunculas were a perfect pairing to her dress. The tables were dressed in navy linens and a clean, modern floral arrangements graced the tables. Sarah even decided to get up on stage and play her violin with the band. Her guests loved every minute of it!

A chill is finally in the air as we head in to the holiday season. We still long for the days of summer so today we thought we’d share our beautiful couple Denise and Michael’s June wedding at the Great Harbor Yacht Club on Nantucket. This was a fun one for us to put together. Michael popped the question on Valentine’s Day and before Denise knew it, they were planning a June wedding (June, as in 4 month’s away) and it went from a small affair to a party with the all their close friends. Denise was a trooper. Not only was she planning a wedding in four months, she was also building a home and was very hands on with the interior decorating.
We met a few times in NYC before Denise’s dress fittings and a few times on island. Among Michael’s many talents, he’s a pilot so that it made quite convenient when they needed to head up for wedding meetings.
Denise was adamant that they host their guests with several days of activities. A welcome party at their new home kicked things off, followed by a rehearsal dinner at The Westmoor Club. For that event she wanted a tuscan feel so we had fun with organic greens and lots of lemons. The ceremony and reception were held at the Great Harbor Yacht Club on a spectacular June day. Denise and I worked on all the tabletop details and wanted to create more of a dinner party atmosphere than a wedding reception. They had a big band there to keep everyone on the dance floor and Michael surprised Denise by singing to her. Not to be outdone, Denise had a few of her own tricks up her sleeve. She rented an antique car to take them around and have photos, and she had a groom’s cake made to look like his plane! Jodi from Jodi’s Cakes did an amazing job making it look like it was ‘flying’. So much fun! As you can see from the photos these two are absolutely smitten with each other. May you have years of happiness and wedded bliss you two!
What a beautiful family!

We have so much to be grateful for this year and we owe that to the wonderful clients we are fortunate enough to work with, our vendor families who help us make the magic happen, and our families for supporting our dreams. Wishing our clients, colleagues and family a safe and Happy Thanksgiving!
We’re busy getting ready for Thanksgiving and I’m thinking about putting coral peonies on the table for a more modern take this year. That thought got me thinking about our beautiful couple Jaclyn and Peter who were married earlier this year and celebrated at Great Harbor Yacht Club.
The minute I saw Jackie’s Pinterest boards I knew she was a girl after my own heart. Sparkly shoes, fluffy blooms, clean lines – this one was going to be a lot of fun to work on. Jackie’s mom was a great help in planning and finalizing all of our details. You can see from the images captured by Zofia & Co that there was a lot of love that day. We were so honored to be included and we wish them years of wedded bliss!
These shoes – words can’t describe how giddy we were when we went to drop off the bouquets and found these little gems on the counter (I was in love!)
Jackie let each bridesmaid choose a dress in the color coral so they felt comfortable which also kept things low key and light hearted. Two words that perfectly describe this couple
Could they be any more adorable?
There were so many fun details – a big thanks to Zofia for putting them all together in one pretty little package
There is nothing better than the glow of candlelight as the evening goes on – it just makes the room look magical.
We love using a long head table to differentiate the wedding party seating. It gives us a lot more freedom to design something different from the rest of the room while still being complimentary (and in some cases, it creates a natural designation of the dance floor).

This past week we had fun gathering up some goulish ideas for a Halloween party. With a few simple dried blooms from the yard, glue, glitter and spray paint you too can create some of these fun looks. We planned to show some fun DIY projects, however, due to no power and limited access to the Internet, we’ve decided to just post some pretty pictures for your amusement.
What’s Halloween without a few creepy creatures?
A spice cake with ‘Draculas’s Blood’ dripping all over it….
pumpkin cake pops dressed in edible orange glitter (and of course, some glittery skulls just because we had to get a little glitter in there)
Happy haunting! And if you are on the east coast, stay safe as the clean up from Sandy continues.
Charlotte and Chris were married on a gorgeous September day on Nantucket. With the harbor as the backdrop for their ceremony, her color scheme of navy, white and green set the scene for their nautical chic nuptials.
Charlotte had a great helper with her jr. bridesmaid. She attended meetings with us and helped choose what bouquets the ladies would carry. One of Charlotte’s friend’s was kind enough to lend her some amazing silver vessels for centerpieces, all in various shapes and sizes which made for a unique look at the reception.
This little lady is just precious, and she had fun being a flower girl!

The weather is getting colder as we head in to October so we are happy to remember a fabulous day this past June on Nantucket. Tim and James were married at a private home in Tom Nevers overlooking the ocean. They could not have asked for more perfect weather. Tim was very involved in the details of everything, and I mean EVERYTHING. From transferring the save-the-date invites on to material using wax paper (genius!), to creating coral colored balloons by stuffing one colored balloon inside another. It was fun to watch these two meld their tastes together as we came up with a final color palette. There was a lot of love to be seen between these two. Be sure to check out even more fabulous photos (too many to post here at the moment) over at Style Me Pretty.

Part of what we love about the design process is getting the opportunity to collaborate with our fellow vendors to inspire future clients. Last October we staged a spring-like romantic look for WellWed magazine (on stands now).
Here are more images from our fun-filled afternoon to put a little “spring” in your step.
We are excited to share all the fun details of this duck hunting inspired birthday party we recently did. But first, a little back story of how our design process happens. Every client we work with has a different timeline. For most weddings, we start a year in advance gathering details, inspirations, design ideas. For corporate events and parties, that timeline is usually somewhere between three to six months. From time to time, we have clients who come to us with busy schedules, and we execute events in a much shorter time frame. For this party, we pulled the details together in all of 22 days.
When the client initially called, there were a lot of hobbies we had to choose from. Squash, and tennis were at the top of the list. We do a lot of golf related ideas out here on Nantucket so we jumped at the opportunity to create a runner of marsh’s down the long tables for a nature inspired look.
Our client was gracious enough to let us use their duck decoys, used shot gun shells, waders, wellies, jackets…..they even collected quail feathers for us to add to our coveys (yes, we learned A LOT doing this event. If you have ever met Dawn, you know she is a girly girl, goes for anything with glitter or glitz and has an eye for all things pink). So it was fun for the team to step out in to the wild world of duck hunting.
We nestled duck calls, decoys and quail coveys in the marsh. Spanish oak had significant meaning to the client so we were sure to use that throughout the design. Camouflage ribbon was tied around each napkin to bring in more hunting inspiration. Even more fun for us, the client was able to get cattails, greens, mosses and authentic duck hunting clothing for us to utilize as props. We were in heaven working with all those items.
The menu’s were topped with an illustration of a quail feather, and custom made hats with ‘forever young’ in the quintessential orange hunting color greeted each guest as they sat down to dinner. Shot gun shells anchored everyone’s place cards. The golfing was eventually worked in to cocktail hr (and we didn’t get any images of that – storms were looming) – but the weather held out, a fun video was played, and a great time was had by all!
A huge thanks to the team at Nantucket Yacht Club for helping us pull it all together during set up.

Melissa and Michael were married on a beautiful day this past June at the secluded Wauwinet Inn. With the ocean as our backdrop for the ceremony and a sail cloth tent for the reception, Melissa, Michael and their guests enjoyed a perfect Nantucket day. As you can see Cary Hazlegrove and assistant photographer, Jordi Cabré captured the couple’s nuptials at this serene seaside venue.
It was such a joy to be a part of an event so full of love.
We are over the moon excited today to see our couple Britt and Jonathan featured on Bliss Celebrations Blog! They had a romantic wedding at the Wauwinet, complete with all the sweet little touches that made their day their own.
We love incorporating herbs in to our designs, and especially love adding mint to bouquets. It’s calming and smells divine. Britt rocked some sparkly Jimmy Choo’s (a girl after my own heart), and had a grin from ear to ear all day.
When Britt first called us to say she wanted orange dahlias on her cake, we were intrigued to say the least. When we found out why, we were excited to incorporate them. Those types of details make for a memorable day for many years to come.
Congrats to Britt and Jonathan as we approach their one year anniversary!
We are tinkled pink today to have our beautiful couple Sara and Michael featured on Elizabeth Anne Designs. They had a fun filled weekend full of activities for their guests on a beautiful September weekend. Sara and her mom worked hard to bring all the details together. From the soft palette of whites, pale pinks and greens to the gorgeous bridesmaids gowns (our brides love Amsale dresses), it was an elegant weekend. The rehearsal dinner was held at the Great Harbor Yacht Club (complete with a game of corn hole). Sara and Michael were married at First Congregational Church and treated their guests to a beautiful tented reception at The Nantucket Golf Club. They could not have asked for better weather!

We couldn’t let Daffodil weekend get started without a few fun photos of one of the most cheerful, happy flowers around! We love incorporating daffodils in spring designs, and look forward to seeing everyone’s festive attire and antique cars this weekend.
Even Tallulah Belle and Ellie Mae get in on all the fun!
Hello Lovelies! Happy Friday to everyone. We are starting the weekend off right with a featured wedding over on Style Me Pretty. Kristen and Eric were married on a gorgeous September day on Nantucket. From the ceremony at the pristine First Congregational church to the tented reception with sand between their toes on Jetties Beach (complete with an amazing blue sky!). Half preppy, half nautical in their design choices, they stayed true to who they were and threw one heck of a party!
Congrats and Kristen & Eric – thanks for allowing us to share in your special day! That grin steals the show!
Katie and Rick got married last September on a spectacular sun-filled day. I have to say Katie and her mom were such a joy to work with. From the moment we sat down for our first design meeting I knew family was important to them, and this was all about love and bringing two families together. As we sat down pouring over images it was clear that Katie was drawn to muted tans/golds/pale pinks – all perfect for the surroundings at The Galley.
Who doesn’t love a pair of bridal shoes with a little shimmer to them? They look comfortable too!
We decided to do something to dress up the banister that could also be a keepsake after the big day. These wreaths fit the bill perfectly.
One of my favorite photos to look at after every wedding is the moment between the bride and her parents just before she walks down the aisle. Such a special time for everyone.
……and here they are – Mr. & Mrs!
I love how Katie chose a pale gray for the bridesmaids dresses and let each one pick a dress they felt most comfortable in. These don’t look ‘brides-maidy’ at all.
The happy couple making their way in to the reception. We had a long marquee here so when we designed for their big day, we made sure to include an element that we could get double duty out of. We moved the church decor to line the walkway in to the tent.
Katie had grabbed a photo from Martha Stewart to show us ideas for the escort table. We tweaked it just a touch and created an escort table that guests could walk all the way around. We had a specialty linen to cover the table and I love the texture. It mimics the ripples of water.
Everyone loves the father daughter dance…
Congratulations again Rick and Katie!

Couples were busy over the long holiday weekend making plans for their upcoming nuptials. Be sure to pick up the March/April issue of Destination weddings to see Dawn’s advice and tips for couples tying the knot on the east coast. It’s a great article that covers the best blooms to beat the heat, how the Royal Wedding is shaping the overall look of ceremonies and bouquets, and what seasonal blooms you can choose to get that quintessential New England feel. Happy planning!
Hello everyone! Hard to believe it’s the end of January. Today seems to be a tad chillier than recent weeks so we decided to go back to October with this lovely Nantucket Wedding. Eliza and Anthony were married at First Congregational Church with the reception at Great Harbor Yacht Club. The bride wanted to incorporate cranberries to pay homage to the cranberry bogs on island. We loved bringing in this rich color. Along with the vibrant greens and grey accents, this color scheme made for one beautiful day!
