About the Day
We first began working with Hannah and Briggs in July of 2019, so by the time their (twice postponed) September 2021 wedding rolled around, we were ready to party! Blue, white, and green are classic color combinations, especially on Nantucket, and Hannah let us run with an english garden theme to make their designs more organic. We love a chance to work at the Westmoor Club and this sunny September Saturday was no exception. Hannah’s all white bouquet was filled with fluffy garden roses, ranunculus, astilbe, and stock. Silk ribbon streamers lent an ethereal look and a touch of whimsy. Bridesmaids wore grey satin gowns, and carried all white bouquets as well, with satin ribbon streamers in greys and blues. The Groomsmen wore white boutonnieres with thistle, for the Groom’s Scottish heritage.
The ceremony was held on the lower lawn, with floral boxes of greenery, larkspur, and delphinium lining the aisle. In addition, a pair of extra lush arrangements of blue and white hydrangea, greenery, and roses framed the altar area. A blue hydrangea bed escort display greeted guests after the ceremony. Floral spires of blue and white blooms framed the tent entry, reminding us of Annie’s 2018 Wauwinet Wedding. Continuing this english garden theme, twining greenery wrapped the tent poles. Elevated arrangements of eucalyptus, delphinium, roses, lisianthus, and tulips, set off the head table. Floating candles, pillar candles, and pewter urns to repurpose bouquets completed the head table design. Guest table designs focused on blues and elegant greys, featuring a medley of cut crystal and silver mercury glass containers. Elegant hydrangea blue taper candles and a delphinium floret at each placesetting tied the design together.
At long last, we feel so lucky to have gotten the chance to pull together such a magical day for such a special couple.
