About The Day
Lily and her mom, Helen, were a dream team for us to work with. As flower lovers they really appreciated the process in working with us to come up with perfect flower combinations for Lily’s big day. Even the little detail of including Lily of the Valley in the bridal bouquet (which is no small fete for a September wedding).
The festivities kicked off with the rehearsal dinner at the Whaling Museum. A colorful palette that we were all swooning over stole the show. The next day, the ceremony took place at the beautiful First Congregational Church. The iconic Nantucket church greeted guests with a lush arch outside and even more beauty inside. A petal toss to celebrate the newlyweds when they exited the church made for a special moment.
Guests were shuttled to the Westmoor Club for a sun filled cocktail hour on the lawn. We had some fun with the escort wall which was a great way for the guests to interact between sips of champagne. A seated dinner followed under a sperry sailcloth tent. A lush mix of white and greens donned the tables. Lush compote centerpieces with more candlelight that one could imagine donned the tables. Rattan baskets were hung throughout the tent additional décor. Every detail was thoughtfully planned with the help of their planner, Sarah from Bespoke SRC. No one wanted the night to end, and the guests continued the festivities the next day with brunch. I ran in to Helen during our strike the next morning, and she literally brought me to tears. The biggest hug and the hugest thanks for the team making the day so special. That is always the best payoff. It was hard to say goodbye to this family – they were a dream to work with!
