Designing bouquets is one of the favorite parts of my job. To me (and I’m obviously biased) the bouquet is one of the most important accessories a bride has on her wedding day. We did a photo shoot with Grace Ormonde – and the amazingly talented duo of Maria and Brian at Brian Phillips Photography captured these shots.

This particular bouquet is great for a Nantucket bride. Brimming with textures in a soft color pallete of greens/creams/whites. The bouquet even includes some blooming onions and variegated kale. The handle of the bouquet is wrapped in jute with shells for the finishing touches.

It’s always a pleasure when I sit down to respond to emails and I find a friend in the industry’s name pop up. Nancy Liu Chin (of Nancy Liu Chin Designs) emailed me for a blog post on The Pink Blossom List. The question was what to charge for a bouquet found on Martha Stewart. I am taking time off today from Soiree for a very important reason – my handsome nephew Shea. He was diagnosed with neuroblastoma this past March, and today we are in Colordao supporting the Play for Shea golf tournament. My heart is overwhelmed by the generosity of everyone involved. It’s a great day here and for all of you playing hookey from work to participate- THANK YOU. I have also been made aware that quite a few of my past couples have made donations. I will thank each and every one of you personally (we’ve been a little busy!) and wanted to make sure I sent out BIG HUGGS for your kindness. Shea has quickly become my hero, and made me realize I can never really say ‘I’m having a bad day.’ He has become an inspiration to many of us and I am so PROUD to be his Auntie.
